Nothing reaches your team until the right people have signed it off. Set up approval stages for any document, assign approvers by name or group, and publishing stays locked until every stage approves.
Some documents are too important to publish on one person's say-so. Safety procedures, employment policies, client-facing processes and anything with a regulatory angle need a formal check before they go live. Waybook's Approval Process is that gatekeeper. Open a document's settings, define your stages, assign the people or groups responsible for each, and save. From then on the Publish button becomes Submit for Approval, and the document cannot be published until every stage has approved it.
Approvers are notified, jump straight into the document, and can approve, reject or suggest changes. Because the comparison view shows precisely which words were added and removed since the last version, sign-off is based on the actual edits rather than a summary. If changes are requested, the editor addresses the feedback and resubmits, and the whole trail is recorded.
Approval processes are set per document, so you can be strict where it matters and light-touch everywhere else. Setting them up across a large Waybook is quick: select documents in Document Manager and use Copy Approval Process to apply an existing reviewer chain to all of them. For everyday peer feedback that doesn't need to block publishing, Waybook's Submit for Review works alongside it.
